- WIC is pleased to announce our new self-service equipment loan software - WebCheckout - implemented in collaboration with SAS Computing. (10/21/09)
- Video and presentation slides from the Engaging Students through Technology Symposium on September 25 are now available. Over 100 people participated in the symposium. (10/20/09)
- Faculty can request the WIC Seminar Room to hold their classes for spring term. Request deadline is October 15 but requests will continue to be accepted after this date. (10/7/09)

- WIC is proud to announce that our first ELIXR module has been published; it profiles the work of Jacqui Sadashige. (10/5/09)

- WIC booth and room machines have been imaged with new software versions including Adobe CS4. We have posted updated instructions on the three video rooms for the new LCD screens. (10/4/09)
- WIC now has SPSS version 17. Data created in versions 15 or older is no longer accessible without a legacy viewer. (9/17/09)
- Penn Libraries is proud to sponsor the Sparky Awards at Penn 2009 Contest. Videos are due in by December 5, 2009. (8/28/09)
- We invite faculty, instructors and graduate students to the Engaging Students through Technology Symposium on September 25. Faculty presenters for the morning panel in Claudia Cohen Hall include Linda Chance, Ann Greene, Alain Plante, Paul Rozin and Herb Smith from the School of Arts and Sciences and Amy Hillier from the School of Design. The lunch will take place in the Data Diner Booths. Afternoon sessions include twelve topics, each offered twice, with presenters from several organizations on campus. (8/25/09)

- We congratulate the winners and participants of Mashup Contest 2009! With 33 entries, the contest brought forward several exciting videos.
- We congratulate the five winners of the 2009 Seltzer Family Digital Media Awards!
- We congratulate the winners of the 2009 Comic Book Contest sponsored by Penn Libraries in conjunction with POW!: The Year of the Comic and this year's Penn Reading Project selection, "Your Inner Fish: A Journey into the 3.5-Billion Year History of the Human Body," by Neil Shubin.
- New additions to this website include the Share This button (sample at the top of page), the Hoesley Workplace Readiness page, the Press and Blogs page, the Course usage at the Weigle Information Commons page and the Conferences, Papers and Presentations page.
- The Glossberg Recording Room on the fourth floor is a new facility for making and editing podcasts. The MIDI keyboard in the Vitale Digital Media Lab is available for music recording as well.
